Secret Secret!!

Wow! You should hear these greats voices today. We had an audition for a solo part in the song 'Some Things Are Meant To Be' from the musical 'Little Woman'. GUESS WHAT!?! A girl from James Hargest College, her name was Ella and she taught us a secret routine!  If you want to see this routine, you might have to sneak along to our Sharing Night in a few weeks time.  I love this routine - it was tiring, confusing and awesome all in one!

Custom Glitter Text

WELCOME back to my blog. I am going to talk about  DRAMA with my lovely teacher Nicola.
First we started doing warm ups and then learnt a really sad song called 'Some Things Are Meant To Be', from the musical Little Woman. I cried, and also Nicola cried the whole way through this song. We also we sang 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. In performance I learnt to sing in a low voice and sing really sad songs.

Also this morning I went with Katie and I learnt about this website called  www.prezi.com
On that website, you can make heaps of presentations and it is really fun to use. I learnt that whenever I need to do a perfect presentation, I will do it on Prezi!

THANKS FOR READING MY BLOG

Glitter Graphics - http://www.sparklee.com

Welcome back to my blog. Today was really fun, but first I will tell you about affective domain. We all have to do a study (which could include homework) to learn about a gifted person. I chose J.K Rowling. She is someone who has above average ability, creativity and task commitment. I thought J.K Rowling would also be a great role model for me because I love to write and make up my own stories as well as writing plays. I love her Harry Potter books.

Now I am going to talk about the technology challenge. Today we had to make an emergency stretcher to carry 6kgs.

We had:
2 Newspaper
4  metres of string
Tape and scissors

I worked with Samaria, Ella Rose and  Reina. We made a very weird stretcher.  Our stretcher lasted until we got to the mountain of chairs we had to climb, and then flour and sugar that weighed 6kgs, fell out!  We worked well as a team, because we all agreed on ideas easily, and we worked hard to get the stretcher made in time.

Drama and Maps

I learnt in maps with Jenny that all the green spots on maps are parks, land, also paddocks or fields.  The white bits are blank areas, the brown is contour line,s and the black bits are man-made objects like trains,  cars,  houses,  railways and much more things.

We looked at the Christchurch map and Invercargill maps too, and talked about what all the colors meant. I also did P4C with Jenny and we talked about "are impossible things possible?" I thought yes, maybe in a couple of years it could happen, and who can't say that some things that are not made yet are not impossible to build.  We were talking about cars and what might happen to them in a couple of thousand years. Most of us thought that there could be cars that fly and have roads in the sky.

Then we had a little quiz about what things could be impossible and impossible.  Who says you can't be rich and famous when you grow older?  I think you can and also be a famous scientist or actor or even a famous sport player. Also at Drama we were practicing our solos with Fly Like An Eagle and learnt a new song.  The singers were GoldenHorse. It is really cool. I have heard it before too. We sang it three times and then twice without our book and I hope to sing it again soon.

DRAMA

My I am so happy! I did my monologue as Alice in Wonderland. I was so excited that I got the nerves and I was bursting. But, I got through it and with my friends help. I got a little bit stuck part-way through, so they helped to prompt me what my next line was. I succeeded and was happy with my performance. I have one more thing to tell you guys. I am going to be a princess for a disco tonight. Oh, and also I LOST AT CHESS. But, there are always other times to beat people at chess. I am leaving at 1:30 today, to go to my school assembly BUT..... should I tell you, (as long as you don't tell anyone else), the Friday group for science (which I'm going to miss), is experimenting with dry ice today. I will see you next week. Bye bloggers.
